Susann P. Lacay

Susann P. Lacay, 69, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 in her residence.

Susann was born on March 17, 1954 in South Bend to Joseph and Julia (Batcho) Lacay.  They preceded her in death along with her sister Rosie Norris, brother Joseph J. Lacay and niece Delphine Lacay.  She was employed for over 30 years at Michiana Hematology, Oncology as a Front Desk Administrator, Medical Assistant and Clinical Support Specialist.  Susann was a member of American Legion Post 284 and St. Patrick’s Church. 

Surviving are nieces and nephews Ann Marie (Don) Filley, Joe (Michelle) Lacay, Loraine (Bill) Cira, Connie Norris, Dean (Bridget) Norris, and Nikie Hamilton, numerous grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews. 

Family, friends and her dogs, Sammy and Rocky were the center of her world.  She loved her Denver Broncos, gardening, going out with her friends and dancing the night away.  St. Patrick’s Day and Dyngus Day were her favorite holidays.  Susann was known for her Hungarian delicacies, kolache being her specialty.  She handed down her recipe and lovingly taught Ann and Michelle how to carry on her tradition.

Visitation will take place from 9:30am -10:30am Friday July 21, 2023 in the St. Patrick’s Church, 309 S.
