Wanda J. Paidle, a cherished mother and beloved grandmother passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at age 76. She passed peacefully at her home.
Wanda was born on December 7, 1948 in Mishawaka to Edward and Edna (Jordan) Bacewic. She retired from Wheelhorse in 1983 after 25 years of building tractors on the assembly line for final prep. She enjoyed watching NASCAR or drag racing on Sundays but only if John Force was on the starting line. She played a mean game of euchre or croquet. She loved to launch the ball into the closest field alongside family on the weekends at the farm in Wyatt. Whenever she could be in the sun, she would tan, even if it meant catching rays on the lawn mower or beach for hours.
Wanda had a strong love for cars. She judged all that she passed on the road in excitement yelling out years, makes, and models. All while letting us know if it needed the paint retouched.
Wanda cherished the times with family, especially with her granddaughter Allison. She taught her cutthroat UNO and checkers at a young age and while creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Wanda’s Legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Surviving are two daughters, Denise Betz and Karen (Jeffrey) Horvath, along with four grandchildren, David (Lizzie) Kruk, Curtis Betz, William Betz, and Allison Horvath. As well as a sister Sharon (Brian) Reinhold, and two brothers, Larry Bacewic and Ronald Bacewic.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 12-2pm Tuesday, June 17 at the Zahoran Funeral Home on 1826 Kemble Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated at 2:00pm with burial of her cremated remains to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
