Wilma Wykoff, 97, of New Carlisle, IN, previously of Madison, IN, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Northwest Health, LaPorte, IN.
She was born on November 28, 1927 in Jefferson County, Indiana to Lawrence and Opha (Stansbury) Benham. Wilma graduated from Saluda High School in 1945 and then went on to work for the United States Government at the Jefferson County Proving Ground and later at the Naval Office in Ft. Wayne. She was a former member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church of Paynesville, IN and the Eastern Star of Hanover, IN.
Surviving are two daughters Barbara (John) Rowlett of Ft. Wayne, IN and Beverly (Tim) Long of New Carlisle, IN; four loving grandchildren Tammy Kerns, Holly McGuinness, Scott Long and Joshua Rowlett; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister Irene Neal of Madison, IN. Wilma was preceded in death by a son William Ray Wykoff.
Cremation has taken place. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Mount Zion Cemetery, Paynesville, IN. Memorials may be made to the Mount Zion Community Church of Paynesville, IN. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
