Yvonne (Baich) Sharp

Yvonne Sharp, 80, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, surrounded by loving family in her home.

Yvonne was born on November 20, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Daniel and Estelle (Gudel) Baich. The family moved to South Bend in 1951, and from an early age Yvonne demonstrated a keen business sense, working in her uncle’s insurance agency at the age of fourteen. She had a successful career in human resources and was the family’s chief humanitarian, always taking care of others and providing the best advice to anyone who needed it. Yvonne was feisty and fiercely loyal to her family and to her sports; she enjoyed watching golf, tennis, and football.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents along with daughter Suzanne M. Sharp, grandson Casey McLean, sisters Mary and Patricia, and brothers Robert and William. Surviving are her son Daniel L. Sharp, stepson Audie D. Wood, granddaughter Michaela Karczewski, five great-grandchildren, sister Zorina (Dave) Cone, brother Michael Baich, and many adoring nieces and nephews.
